YMMV / Ernest Goes to School

• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment:
  • When Ernest's schedule is taken away and then the rest of the hallway empties, the hallway lights get dark and Ernest is suddenly given directions by a Clint Eastwood expy on a horse.
  • A fly bothers Ernest during his big exam, but the teacher suddenly sticks out her lizard-like tongue and eats the fly.
• Fridge Brilliance: Gerta tells Ernest that he was selected to be the test subject for her machine that temporarily improves intelligence. In an earlier scene, Mr. Proctor says that every senior is actually graduating this year, so of course Ernest would be picked, in addition to the fact that his job depends on him passing, he's the only student (not counting those in grades below seniors) doing poorly enough to need the device.
