  • Anti-Climax Boss: The final boss consists of shooting four separate alien masses in a blood-soaked room while Cynte dodges the Hunter and all other enemies. It's rather underwhelming considering the game had set up Luce to be the main antagonist and that the game ends with a cliffhanger afterwards.
  • Fridge Brilliance: Why is Cynte able to drag himself around surprisingly effortlessly with one arm? Perhaps it's because he's on an asteroid, with far less gravity than even the moon.
  • Funny: Although the game is meant to be drought and creepy, some of its elements come off as Black Comedy.
    • There's something inexplicably hilarious about how your avatar is able to rapidly scuttle on the floor using only a single remaining arm.
    • Similarily the squeaky coughing every now and then.
    • If you've played Struggling beforehand, the gameplay resemblance will certainly induce a few chuckles from you. If not, the mutated rats definitely will.
  • Goddamned Bats: The mutated rats. While they only take one hit to kill, players will only know they are about to attack by sound and either must pull their weapon out quickly to shoot them, or crawl away at high speed. It doesn't help that they are most frequently encountered in tight spaces that can restrict the arm movements towards a gun.
  • Moral Myopia: Luce's "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Cynte could be considered this, as she calls Cynte 'immoral' and 'unethical' for his mindset, but doesn't say anything about the fact that she released the parasites, killing and/or mutating nearly everyone in the lab.
  • Narm Charm: The idea of a triple amputee dragging himself around in a survival game sounds absolutely ridiculous, but the gameplay, controls, and atmosphere manage to make it genuinely work.
  • Paranoia Fuel:
    • The goddamn rats. You can often hear their presences ways before you encounter them, and the only way you know where exactly they are is if they notice and begin their attack.
    • Once the Hunter comes into play, you will be stuck wondering where it will come from next. Doesn't help it can make an appearance bursting out of an egg sac before trying to run Cynte down its blade arm.
  • That One Level: By far the level you will see the most people struggle with, or come out with tips and advice for, is the "monster corridor" level, which practically serves as an Advancing Boss of Doom. Cynte starts at one side of the hallway, close to a swarm of mutated scientists, and behind them is the exit... but the corridor is too small to maneuver around and you must fall back in the other direction as the monsters chase you, demanding an excellent balance of accurate shooting, quick reloads, and falling back as the mutated scientists approach.
