- Hilarious in Hindsight: There actually is an Ashland, Kentucky. Jennifer Estep wasn't aware of this when she wrote the series. It is, notably, also Harsher in Hindsight since it and its sister city Huntington, WV are part of one of the largest drug smuggling lines in America. It doesn't, however, have any sexy Goth nightclubs or dozens of beautiful assassins.
