• First Installment Wins: Even with El Viento having flaws like enemies being able to juggle you around and being prone to slowdown, it's still generally considered the best of the three games. That said, Earnest Evans, being So Bad, It's Good, is likely the more (in)famous game.
• Goddamned Bats: Literal bats, the most annoying enemies in the game. The last level is remarkable: you'll be overwhelmed by them if you don't wisely use the magic spells.
• Special Effects Failure: While the game sports some really large sprites, it's blatantly obvious that the developers simply upscaled small sprites. This is especially egregious with the giant octopus enemies in the fourth stage, which are so pixelated that it comes off as unintentionally funny.
