YMMV / Duel to the Death

• Anvilicious: The film works overtime to push the message that nothing good results from China and Japan fighting, and that in fact it leads to needless widespread destruction, especially among the youth of both countries. Granted, if one is going to insist on dropping anvils, there are definitely worse ones out there.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Despite being a nameless character with only a couple of scenes, the Chinese martial artist carrying a huge broadsword got instant respect from the audience, especially when he showed off what he was capable of against the ninjas that came to capture him.
• Narm: No matter which version of the film you're watching, the bit where the Zen monk's head gets chopped off, but still manages to speak and then explode for no reason has to qualify.
