• Epileptic Trees: Some viewers theorized that Webby's absence is because she was sent somewhere else when Ma Beagle and her sons moved into the mansion for her safety.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Among the cheap things Scrooge tries to buy for Mrs. Beakley are a completely inappropriate card which reads "for my bodybuilder brother-in-law" instead of a birthday card. Comes the reboot, and that card suddenly isn't that inaccurate.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Webby's inexplicably absent from the episode even though it starts during her grandmother's birthday and takes place mostly at the mansion. It'd be interesting to see how she reacts to the idea that her uncle Scrooge married a thief as well as when her grandma briefly decides to quit and leave the house.
