The triplets explicitly become suspicious because Gyro would never talk like that to them. About thirty years later, the Gyro from the 2017 reboot was written as more rough-edged, to some controversy in the fanbase.
- During the episode, the triplets use Armstrong's computer brain to do their homework. Years later, the increasing rise of generational AI like ChatGPT resulted in disputes about "machine plagiarism."
