- Character Rerailment: A meta-example. The last time that Disney portrayed Zeus was in Hercules, and he received an Adaptational Nice Guy, being represented as a wise and calm, if bumbling, Reasonable Authority Figure, and more close to the Christian God than the mythological Greek God. Here, he is much closer to the Jerkass God he was in the Greek Mythology (the last time that Disney portrayed Zeus this way was in The Pastoral Symphony, a segment of Fantasia).
- Fanfic Fuel: Where are the other Greek Gods? Are they in the In-Universe version of Mount Olympus?
- Harsher in Hindsight: Storkules's Armor-Piercing Question about what Della would say in response to Donald proclaiming that adventure gets everyone hurt becomes this in "The Last Crash of the Sunchaser". Della isn't on the island because her desire for adventure caused her to disappear and leave her family behind.
- Heartwarming in Hindsight:
- With "The Last Crash of the Sunchaser" and Selene talking about her friendship with Della, it becomes apparent that Della and Scrooge named the Spear of Selene to honor the moon goddess.
- Selene conforting Dewey about his mom becomes this in Brazilian Portuguese dub, where she is voiced by Marisa Leal, who played Dewey in the original show, so it's the two voices reunited in the same scenario, with the original conforting the new, and Passing the Torch in a meta sense.
- Ho Yay:
- Storkules believes that befriending Donald is his greatest achievement, he gushes about Donald and hugs him a lot (once Donald gets stuck between his pecs), and sculpts a statue of Donald wearing only a fig leaf.
- By the same token, Selene has a similarly very close friendship with Della. And the brief vision Selene shows Dewy and Webby shows that unlike Donald with Storkules, Della seems to have been quite a bit more receptive to Selene's affections.
