• Diagnosed by the Audience: It's never really specified what Shatter's mental health condition is, but perhaps it is a deep psychosis mixed with sociopathy. He was kept in a tiny cave for most of his childhood and swiftly develops a hatred of his parents when he realises they've kept the world hidden from him for so long. Some dragons who meet him find him charismatic, so he does seem to have overcome some element of his lack of early socialisation, and he implicitly understands cycles of revenge (see below).
• Moment of Awesome: Plenty, but to give a handful of examples:
  • Tallow's first flying lesson with Fortune.
  • Fortune manages to re-direct four existing streams of charm to aid his friends from a distance, and then has a They're all still alive! moment afterwards.
