YMMV / Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone

• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: After becoming immortal, Garlic Jr. calls forth all evil spirits to aid his conquest of Earth, and a horde of undead warriors are seen rising from the ground elsewhere. This must have been an Imagine Spot because it never comes up again. Perhaps they're still marching to his castle.
• First Installment Wins: To some. While this movie has its fair share of issues, it has a strong following and is a solid enough Dragon Ball film to be seen as one of the best ways to start up the Z movies.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Gohan getting drunk from eating the apple doesn't come off as funny as it once did after it came out that Stephanie Nadolny had several DUI arrests, which eventually led to her getting replaced as Gohan.
• Moment of Awesome: One for the villain Garlic Jr., who is the first Dragon Ball villain to have his wish for Complete Immortality successfully granted to him by Shenron. It would take years before another villain successfully gains immortality.
• Narm: The AB Groupe Dub (AKA Big Green Dub) gives Garlic Jr. a particularly bad case of Motor Mouth, perhaps far worse than any character amongst all of their dubs.
