• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Grimserver's seemingly genuine conflicted expression when Dax tries to reason with him during the battle for the crystal. Was he really considering the young Dragamons offer to pull a Heel–Face Turn? Or was he just pretending to consider the offer in order to throw his enemies off guard?
• Jerkass Woobie: Wormskull. Yes, he's a cruel jerkass, but the fact that Grimserver is not only an abusive leader. He's technically Wormskull's abusive parent, makes this understandable.
• Nightmare Fuel: For all intents and purposes, Grimserver is a pretty terrifying antagonist.
  • The scene where he begins transforming Boaragon into a Grimwrath.
  Grimserver: You have helped your friend protect the crystal. Now you will help ME!
  Boaragon: Not happening, bonehead! I'm not ending up like you!
  Grimserver: My feeble-minded friend. What makes you think you have a choice?
  (The forcefield surrounding Boaragon shrinks)
  Boaragon: Hey! What are you doing!? Hey, stop! STOP!
  (Boaragon screams in pain as he is obscured by the forcefield becoming opaque and covered with electricity)
  Grimserver: (Laughs evilly)

• Tear Jerker: At the beginning of "Dax Versus Boaragon", when Dax calls out the title of the episode. His voice sounds genuinely somber. Likely indicating how genuinely sad Dax is at being forced to fight his best friend.
• Viewer Gender Confusion: Before it's mentioned by the characters, it's a little hard to tell Fyra and Grodus are female.
