• Base-Breaking Character: Scyde. On one hand, she has fans who see her as one of the more likable characters due to her loyalty to her comrades and being surprisingly levelheaded. On the other hand, many people loath her for being the one who committed the brutal murder of Gaia.
• Fanon: Zhirite is a radioactive metal.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: Gaia's brutal Trauma Conga Line and unceremonious death is the reason most people are even familiar with the comic. The rumors that she was based off an ex-girlfriend that author Danny Valentini had a messy break-up with didn't help.
• The Scrappy:
  • Kess' actions thus far in chapter 3 have skyrocketed her to the single most hated character in the story.
  • Many people seem to dislike the dragons, especially Oscura and Electra due to their foul treatment of Gaia simply for indulging her maternal instincts.
• Squick:
  • The Sexy Dimorphism of how the female tigers are fully sapient and anthropomorphic whereas the males are decidedly… not… can rub some readers the wrong way. (Hell)Riiser of The Webcomic Relief even complained that it reminded him of zoophilia.
  • There's a scene where, after spending a few pages of Eone showing how obsessed she is with Red, she prepares to leave as she watches Red fall asleep. Then Red does a fart in her sleep, followed by Eone sycophantically sniffing it up.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Gaia, infamously so. Given that her backstory is shown in vivid detail early on and how much sympathy points she earns, it can be forgiven to assume she would be a major character in the story rather than killed off so suddenly as it was brutally.
• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: There are a grand total of four characters who are in any way sympathetic. Of them, one was unceremoniously beheaded, one's about to kill herself or undergo a Stupid Sacrifice, another's undergoing severe Sanity Slippage, and the fourth's the Butt-Monkey of the Dragon side. Literally everyone else is either a genocidal maniac, a complete Jerkass, a Manipulative Bitch, or a just plain incompetent idiot.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Although the comic tries to portray a Gray-and-Gray Morality narrative, many view the dragons as the worst of the two factions, if not outright evil. This is mainly due to having some of the most vile characters in the narrative who commit some of the worst acts with few legitimate sympathetic to counterbalance, not to mention their society coming off as oppressive and fascistic in nature. Now whether The Tigers are viewed as 'good' or 'bad' varies from reader, almost everyone sees them as the Lesser of Two Evils.
• The Woobie: Many, but Gaia, Kilani and Xhianil stand out.
• What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: An example in regards to the aforementioned MLP expy. Upon watching an episode in which a tigress is killed, Red states "I'm all for shameless propaganda against tigers but isn't this a little much for a kids show?" She is promptly shushed.
