• Catharsis Factor: The catharsis that comes from watching Dr. Lee extract giant skin lumps is twofold. The first is watching all that tight, icky buildup finally being freed from the skin. The second is that these conditions are not only unsightly but also physically restrictive, uncomfortable, or even painful for many patients. Seeing the sheer joy on their faces once they've realized that they've finally been freed from the burden that's been hampering their quality of life for several years is very satisfying.
• Squick: The massive amounts of excised gunk, oily residue, and other built up substances that shouldn't be underneath the skin is bound to be repulsive for some viewers, but Dr. Lee sometimes takes it a step further by describing the smell too.
  Dr. Lee: And they smell like old toe jam, like skin that is just wet and has been sitting around for a long time all mashed in something, and now you're releasing it to the world.
