• Ensemble Dark Horse: Matisse, played by Mike the Dog. He'd be the featured star of the television series.
• Heartwarming Moment: Jerry telling Max that his father loves him and will be A-OK with his androgyny. Max isn't sure, but Jerry tells him, "For real." Now, whether Jerry actually believes that is unknown, but Dave overcomes his initial shock fairly quickly.
• Values Resonance: Max being told being androgynous isn't at all a bad thing resonates with the rise of trans rights.
