- Broken Base: Shadowlife is either an underrated album of theirs, or a poor thinly-veiled attempt at getting into alternative rock.

Don Dokken's facial expressions, the guitar with chains instead of strings, the girl in the second verse, the part where the band frees itself in a dungeon (complete with air drums and the guitar solo starting before the guitarist has its hands on the instrument)... it's cheesy and downright hilarious! - Signature Song: "Mr. Scary". "Alone Again" and "Dream Warriors" are also up there.
- Suspiciously Similar Song: The guitar riff of "Into The Fire", by George Lynch's own admission, was taken from the opening riff to "Some Heads Are Gonna Roll".
