- Epileptic Trees: The remake of the manga has changed the design of several character to make them heavily resemble Golden Kamuy characters. Kosugi, Nihei, Rou, and Youta looking like the spitting image of Kadokura, Nihei, Koito, and Ogata down to similar hairstyles, being of particular note. This has led to some people believing that this isn't simply a case of Expy, Reused Character Designs, or even Noda cashing in on his most famous IP through Fanservice, but that the manga is an out-and-out reincarnation story where the characters from early 20th Century have been reborn on the modern day.
