YMMV / Doctor Who S18E5 "Warriors' Gate"

• Hilarious in Hindsight: Towards the end of the story, after the spaceship explodes, there's a side-on shot of the freed Tharils walking in single file through the gate. Anybody who has ever played Lemmings will be completely unable to take this seriously.
• Moral Event Horizon: Any sympathy for Rorvik and his crew goes out the window when it's revealed that they're slavers.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: One of the most visually stunning classic serials, from the modelwork, to the set design, to the optical effects, almost evoking a high-budget music video in its devotion to 'visual storytelling' more than the stagier, more dialogue-driven norm of the classic series. Unfortunately, director Paul Joyce's adamant intent to accentuate the serial's surreal imagery catalysed a grinding Troubled Production running significantly overtime and over-budget, resulting in Joyce's blacklisting and thus depriving the show of such a directorial sensibility going forward, at least until the serial's uncredited co-director Graeme Harper returned to work on "The Caves of Androzani" three seasons later.
