- Diagnosed by the Audience: If not a straight-up case of Go Mad from the Isolation, Kate going straight into Mr. Exposition mode when first meeting Lucas makes her come across as Autistic.
- Funny Moments:
- During an encounter with the fluffy birdlike Tyrannosaurus rex, Lucas makes a Jurassic Park reference. Kathryn, having been born before that film was made, doesn't understand it.
Kathryn: What are you doing?
Lucas: It can't see us if we don't move!
Kathryn: Where did you get a silly idea like that!? It can see you fine, run! - Narm: While feathered dinosaurs aren't intrinsically bad, it's hard to find a T. Rex frightening when it's decked out in brilliant parrot colors.
- Just Here for Godzilla: The only reason most people know about this movie is for the more scientifically accurate or at least unique dinosaurs, even then they most likely haven't even watched it themselves, only seeing pictures and clips online.
- Tear Jerker: Mimos death, even if the scene is a bit rushed. Thankfully, he got better.
