• Memetic Mutation: The game itself has become a common joke answer to the question "What's the best fighting game ever?" on Fightcade.
• Scrappy Mechanic: The dinosaurs can't turn around. If at any time they're on the wrong side of each other, the fight comes to a sudden and abrupt halt as they move back to "their" side. More galling is that they have animations for facing the other way (which they use if they're too far apart when they reset or in the Mirror Match), but they simply won't fight if they're on the wrong side.
• So Bad, It's Good: A ludicrous premise (people train dinosaurs like cock-fighting chickens to become king) combines with utterly horrendous sound design (that screaming) and terrible controls to take a solid place as an anti-classic.
