• Fridge Brilliance: In The Dawn of Syrrus, Syrrus attempts unsuccessfully to use his mind control powers on Zap. Zap explains it away as his human side overpowering the insect part of him. But in a later episode, Rebirth, it is directly stated that Zap was created with free will.
• Ship Mates: The main ships for the fandom are Zap/Jenny 10, Dex/Jane and Tung/Bream.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: To say that Dex Hamilton and the Doomsday Swarm was not well received by fans would be an understatement. The shift from 2D to 3D animation got the most attention, with many fans calling the new character models ugly (notably Tung's design as an anthropomorphic frog rather than a Human Alien with frog-like features seen in the main series).
• Viewer Name Confusion: Zap's last name is spelt Monagan, but the Fan Wiki previously listed it as Monogan.
  • Also, the ladybug hybrid that appears in Rebirth doesn't have a name; IMDb credits the voice actor as ladybug. This hasn't stopped the Fan Wiki from listing the character's name as Larry.
