- Esoteric Happy Ending: The theme of rape portrayed as an act of love made it inevitable.
- Fetish Retardant:
- Just see its (obviously NSFW) weepingcock threads.
- "The burn was exquisite." You may now cross your legs.
- Fridge Logic:
- This pushes the "Harry pays Snape for sex" thread from potentially tragic to utterly risible even before you consider that it's just a more honest version of what a great many relationships are about anyway.
- The "Marked One bears the Guide's child" thing doesn't seem to account for the possibility of a female Guide. Obviously a female Guide won't bear the Marked One's child because that messes with the Anvilicious symbolism, so one can only assume that in a world where men can be impregnated without the slightest trace of a justification then a woman can somehow impregnate another woman or a man. Or the author hadn't considered the possibility of a female Guide.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- The Running Gag in the MST about Harry being impotent became this when it was revealed that he actually is.
- This fic had a background subplot of Crabbe coupling with a house-elf years before Fantastic Beasts introduced the concept of human-elf offspring.
- Moment of Awesome: Harry confronting Single. Sadly, he hangs on as an ineffectual villain.
- Squick:
- The elf sex thread.
- The magical butt-plug (It Makes Just As Much Sense In Context) permanently stretching Snape's arse-hole already falls headlong into this trope, but especially if the reader has read Celebrian.
- Wangst: Harry spends much time lamenting his woes, which he wouldn't have if he'd paid attention to Hermione and the Weasleys in chapter one.
