• Crack Pairing - Hatler's girlfriend is Ms. Pennymarket?? What the...!?
• Creepy Awesome:
  • Comic Adolf Hitler doppelgänger singing Paul Anka's 'My Way' definitely qualifies.
  • The Wixxer also qualifies as Creepy Awesome, with his skull mask, Ominous Opera Cape, dashing top hat, and deep, scary voice. For a parodic villain, he's confident, competent, and pretty damn cool in his own right.
• Crosses the Line Twice: Hatler crosses the line at least two times whenever he says something, especially in the second movie.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff - Literally. Hatler does his training to "I've been looking for freedom".
• Hollywood Pudgy: Everybody makes fun of Even Longer's weight (prominently Hatler, Much Longer, Lord Dickham, Sir John, Brinkman and even Long), especially in the second movie. However, Kalkofe isn't really that fat. Then again, in his flashbacks, his child alter-ego's actor is very fat.
• Nightmare Fuel/Nightmare Retardant:
  • The Wixxer himself. There are a few scenes where he's legitimately scary and threatening (such as when he kills The Fat Shark with pirannhas or shoots The Frog In The Mask on live television), and more where he's gut-bustingly hilarious (such as participating in a high-speed bicycle chase, or any scene where he fights Very Long and Even Longer).
  • Harry Smearlap from the first and Chucky Norris from the second movie (both played by the same actor) deliberateley zig-zag between these tropes due to their creepy and sometimes downright threatening behaviour and the completeley ridiculous scenarios they are placed in.
• Retroactive Recognition: Today, Oliver Welke, who plays the coroner, is mostly known to German audience as the anchorman of the Heute Show.
