YMMV / Dennou Keisatsu Cybercop

  • Awesome Music: The opening, Cyber Heart/A roar to tomorrow. The ending, Shooting Star, being sung by Tomoko Uesugi's actress should also count too.
  • Cult Classic: Amongst tokusatsu fans, this series gets a lot of love despite it's budgetary shortcomings due to it's likeable cast, high concept, and suit design among others.
  • Fair for Its Day: As badly aged the green-screening is nowadays, in 1988 when the show ran it was actually considered top of the line stuff and very impressive on the budget it presumably had.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: For a series that seemed to be made on a budget, it has quite a following among Brazilian tokusatsu fans. How much of one? It got as big as Juspion over there.
  • Special Effects Failure: A staple of the series, due in no part to combining green-screening and 16 mm filming (Toei's series use the 35 mm format, just to give an idea). This is because, around that time, Toho was producing Godzilla vs. Biollante, and didn't want to divert too many resources for a TV series.
