- Alternate Character Interpretation: The Meowsician, along with Chimabell, could arguably qualify. The Meowsician could be set as a Well-Intentioned Extremist who lost his way. Chimabell, on the other hand, is either a manipulated figurehead with a tormented past or a jerk with no redeeming characteristics.
- Draco in Leather Pants: Bella, Chimabell and the Meowsician. As well as Campara before her Heel–Face Turn.
- Every villain gets some of this, with the exception of Malakov, because most just believe she's more than a little creepy. Even Ivan gets a bit of it, going by the comments on some of his Concept Art, and he's spoken barely a paragraph—maybe— since he was introduced.
- Evil Is Cool: Practically every villain in the story has a fairly dedicated fanbase thanks to this.
- Heartwarming Moments: Zero and Sophia's dance.
- Moment of Awesome: Any time Sophia gathers the courage to defend herself argueably qualifies, seeing as she spends most of the story depending on the likes of Tin, Mellon, and even Campara to get her out of dangerous situations.
- Even if it ended poorly for him both times, you have to admit that standing up against the Von Pyre's in front of an enormous crowd twice in Sophia's defense took some serious guts. Especially for someone as naturally sweet and passive as Zero.
- The Woobie: As the story goes on, we have Count Merry-Go-Round, Chimabell, Bella, Campara, Pendulum Tin, Darkslaw, Darkchovi, Sophia...
