• Epileptic Trees: In regards to what the hell is going on, it's debated that the family was already dead and in a sort of limbo with Marion being the on between life and death. It's also debated her survival was being the only one of the cast that wasn't mentally broken (her brother being an asshole, her boyfriend being gay and cheating on her, her father being a self righteous asshole, and her mother apparently had an affair). But considering the film's Mind Screw elements, we'll never know besides speculation.
• Nightmare Fuel: Everything, especially each time they encounter the hearse.
  • Frank and Marion decide to get out of the car and walk through the woods towards Marcott...only to ''end up where they were.
• Spiritual Adaptation: With the psychological and Mind Screw elements, it's the closest we'll get to a Silent Hill movie. Accurate one anyway...
