• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Saburo Shindo's Suicide Attack on the deck of the USS Bunker Hill (which survives, but not unscathed). Airman Joe Crosetti was on the carrier and tried to rationalize that no one in their right mind would resort to flying their plane into a ship.
  • After fleeing to Japan, Jiro Takahashi is relocated to Hiroshima, where he continue to spend his life making propaganda broadcasts in what he sees to be a relatively quiet and peaceful city.
