- Memetic Psychopath: Davey is often seen as this due to an early daydreams involving him trying to stab a girl in the eye with a pencil (he thought she was a Cyclops) and one of his daydreams having him walk around shooting people - which, granted, is in a Wild West context, but remember this daydream is while he's at school.
- This was even lampshaded by The Angry Video Game Nerd just after Davey decapitated Medusa. He starts wondering that if he stopped daydreaming after cutting off Medusa's head, then whose head did he cut off? Was it one of the teachers?
- Nightmare Fuel: The Underworld has a floor made of screaming realistic human faces, in very stark contrast to the rest of the game, which has cheery color palettes and a cartoony style.
