• Harsher in Hindsight: Foggy says, "You're going to get yourself killed if you keep this up. You know that, right?" At the end of season 1 of The Defenders (2017), Matt is seemingly killed when Midland Circle is imploded to destroy a Hand base (he somehow survives), confirming what Foggy was saying.
• Ho Yay: During Foggy and Matt's first meeting, some of Foggy's comments are a bit too excited. And in the present, much of the argument between Matt and Foggy feels like a breakup between a married couple. Their legal partnership is even jokingly compared to a marriage.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: For many viewers who weren't too keen on spending a lot of screentime with Foggy, finding him to be a boring and pointless character who exists as a geek/nice guy trying to woo the hot girl in the office (Karen), the episode gave more depth to his character and his relationship with Matt. Most of the critics were won over.
