• Awesome Music: "Sunny Morning" by Bruno E, DankPod's reoccurring music throughout his channel, even basing itself as a sort of theme song for it.
  • Walk Through The Park, the jazz tune he uses to demonstrate audio equipment.
  • And speaking of, "Scarlet Fire" by Otis MacDonald, the song he plays when trying to blow up crappy earbuds.
• Adorkable: Dank himself comes off as relatively goofy, playful, and borderline hammy when he gushes about iPods, or even when he's discussing a very bad item.
• Archive Panic: His Garbage Time channel tends to have videos deleted days after their original upload. When he started promoting the channel more frequently, this is no longer the case.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: His pet snake, Frank.
  • James as well, especially considering how much Wade brings up the magpie story. With the growth of secondary channel Garbage Time, James also reveals being a skilled mechanic.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In the video "The iPod Turns 20", Wade discusses how he feels Apple will slowly phase out the iPod but states that's fine if Apple does since it already made a good long legacy and will eventually return. Afterwards, Apple would indeed confirm the iPod Touch would be phased out for the iPads and iPhones.
• Moment of Awesome: The episode where he ran Windows 10 off an iPod Photo. That alone is nothing to sneeze at, but the crowning jewel is when he played a match of Rocket Leauge and was MVP.
  • Modding an iPod to hold One terabyte is rather impressive, and even after breaking that iPod, he was able to mod one to hold TWO Terabytes.
  • The fact he built the Shrekpod, which was made out of broken iPod parts just so it can solely play Shrek. That is impressive, and even more so when he did it again with an iPod Touch! With help from James of course.
• Memetic Badass: The so-called "sexy speaker" usually set on Auxiliary Mode featured in some of his videos.
  • Geir, the supposed owner of the spare iPod hard drive he uses in his first video.
  • His friend, James, is an electrical wizard. He has a warehouse full of electronics that he fixed, he rebuilt the bluetooth iPod to be less janky, he helped Wade install Wikipodia (a distro of iPodLinux that's meant to be a Wikipedia e-reader), and rescued a magpie that flew into his chicken coop.
• Memetic Mutation: A quip of his reoccurring lines:
  • "Someone's been in here!"
  • "Na-no."
  • The 1 GRIT rock, which he'll use to smash an item that sucks.
  • The "CRAIG" brand featured in his "I found a bootleg iPod" series.
  • Constantly calling that is small but So Bad, It's Good as a "nugget".
  • The song "Scarlet Fire" has become this for some, mainly not only for being an awesome song, but also over the fact Dank explodes bad earphones with it.
  • The Huh Duh Six Hunge-os by old mate Senn ^{or their proper name} Sennheiser HD600, his go-to benchmark for headphones.
• Nightmare Fuel: The video "I Found a Nightmare" is a review of a SpongeBob SquarePants MP3 player that is just a yellow disc with a single staring eye at the centre. Dank freaks out about it, retches violently, and suggests that it's SpongeBob after a terrible curse has befallen him.
  • "I Present: 'Kwack Kwack. The Duck.'" features a duck-shaped iPod dock where the speakers are on the eyes. The bug-eyed appearance of the duck disturbed Dank, just like the Spongebob MP3 player did.
• Tear Jerker: While still a heartwarming video, the "Origin of Dankpods" 1 Million subscriber special is rather sad considering the realistic moments in Wade's life, such as becoming jaded at being a teacher due to it not paying well and quitting it afterwards despite loving his students (and admitting he did tear up from it) and mentioning his dad dying during his college years.
