- Hilarious in Hindsight: The use of Kmart as a setting in "I Want a Rinky Dinky Doo Dad for Christmas", as the Kmart in Marquette, Michigan (the closest to the band's hometown of Ishpeming) closed only one year later.
- Misattributed Song: "Da Turdy Point Buck", another well-known song/skit about deer hunting. Most frequently attributed to Da Yoopers, it's actually by a Wisconsin-based trio called Bananas at Large.
- Older Than They Think: Allmusic hypes up "When One Love Dies" as "their first serious song", but their first album had two markedly serious songs: "My Shoes", a straight-up song about a man envying another's lover, and "Critics Tune", a Take That, Critics!
- Signature Song: "Second Week of Deer Camp" and "Rusty Chevrolet" are their best-known.
- Suspiciously Similar Song:
- "Bingo Fever" sounds a lot like "Flowers on the Wall" by The Statler Brothers, especially on the chorus.
- "Yoop It Up" bears a resemblance to "Down on the Corner" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
