- Creator Worship: Many people on staff not only adore the Naruto franchise and Masashi Kishimoto himself (who has praised their games back), but they are also fond of Clover Studio / PlatinumGames in one of their interviews about Asura's Wrath.
- Cult Classic: Many of their lesser known games have this status, particularly the Little Tail Bronx games
- Mainstream Obscurity: Many people know CyberConnect2 for their anime fighters, and assume that they exclusively work on Naruto games, especially with how well their Ultimate Ninja games perform. But if you were to ask people about their other works without looking it up online, chances are you'll be met with confusion (and possibly the occasional Asura's Wrath and .hack). The fact that their older library rarely sees rereleases of any kind and second hand copies are extremely hard to come by does not do them any favors.
- No Problem with Licensed Games: Their Naruto games are often considered to be the highest quality of most of the licensed games on the market.
- Visual Effects of Awesome:
- Especially post creation of Sensible Art Innovation, but many of their games look gorgeous regardless.
- The best examples are The .hack//G.U. trilogy movie, Asura's Wrath, and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, the latter especially due to being on the eighth gen consoles.
- Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot manages to surpass all the other examples to date, despite not even being released. The first Teaser render of the game was so detailed, some initially thought it was the screenshot of a new anime at first.
