YMMV / Crumbling Down

• Catharsis Factor: The main reason to read this fic: watching how karma finally bites Lila in the ass in a rather epic fashion (with none of the bashing other characters usually get in the typical Salt Fic) is extremely satisfying.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Marinette wonders half-jokingky if Lila is even her real name or if she also lied about that. Several years later, the season 5 episode "Confrontation" would reveal that "Lila" is just one of her many fake identities (even her hair is just a wig).
• Unexpected Character: Edna Mode, of all people, shows up at the end to take control of Gabriel's failing fashion business, collapsing as a result of his Hawk Moth identity becoming known, as well as to recruit Marinette as her protégé. In the Distant Finale, she hosts a fashion show that reveals Marinette's first line of clothing, Miraculous, named after and based on the Miraculouses that she and her friends used. Before she showed up, there was no hint that the story was a Crossover in any way or form.
• The Woobie:
  • Poor, poor Adrien. Not only does he have to deal with Lila's sexual harassment for the first half of the story, the revelation at the end that Hawk Moth was his father, followed by his comatose mother finally dying breaks him psychologically. Thankfully, it's implied that the Dupain-Chengs adopt him into their family and give him all the emotional support he needs, before he enters into a very happy relationship with Marinette.
  • Mrs. Rossi as well. Not only does she find out that her daughter is a lying, manipulative sociopath willing to work with a magical terrorist for her own gain, but thanks to Lila's actions her career as a diplomat is on very thin ice, if not gone already. At the very least, she finds love with Lieutenant Roger.
