  • Breather Boss: Duke, the third boss (which will be encountered regardless the characters selected). Unlike the previous Wolfpack Boss of Karts and his minions, Duke doesn't have any flunkies, and his attack consists of leaping up and jumping at players at predictable patterns. His speed is average, no more than either Daugh or Gauss, and he's a surprisingly easy fight after a level full of tough enemies (said level introduces the dangerous Lawman-type mooks mentioned below).
  • Complete Monster: Lieutenant-Colonel Whigen is the leader of a terrorist organization intending to reshape the world In Their Own Image. Hijacking the Princess, a luxury cruiser carrying 4,000 passengers, Whigen has his men install a powerful nerve gas agent in the cruiser's bowels which will kill everyone on board, and has his men shoot down a fleet of Delta Force helicopters trying to suppress the takeover, gloating after learning news of the Delta Force's annihilation. When the heroes managed to foil his plans, Whigen instead reveals he had installed explosives everywhere underneath the Princess' hull, ready to detonate all of them and sink the ship as he makes his own escape, uncaring about his remaining lieutenants still aboard the Princess.
  • Demonic Spiders: Lawman-type mooks, whose flamethrower can burn a massive chunk from players' life meter if they manage to activate their weapon. The fact that these enemies have plenty of health themselves doesn't help. Most players will make it a priority to target these enemies, first, for good reason,
  • That One Boss: Hammer, one of the Colonel's highest-ranked operatives who is fought in the lower decks. He spams grenade attacks all over the place, and it's difficult trying to even get near him.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: For the longest time, players have assumed Yan Fei-Hsu to be a boy, especially if they impatiently skip through cutscenes since she doesn't speak during gameplay or fight scenes.
