- Alternative Character Interpretation: Did Grodinsky expose Buford as a child molester during the interview because he knew that word would get back to the other inmates at the prison he was held, leading to him being beaten or possibly killed? If so, was this some way of atoning for his past mistreatment of Morgan; by helping to get rid of the man who abused him?
