  • Actor Allusion: Remember that time George Costanza said that thick, lustrous hair was very important to him?
  • He Really Can Act: Who would figure Jason Alexander could play a menacing serial killer convincingly? Someone with good instincts, apparently!
  • Informed Wrongness: Early on in the episode, Todd makes an insensitive mistake when dealing with a police officer, causing him to become outraged with her and obviously lose faith with the FBI. Morgan, who'd just been happening by, attempts to salvage the situation by doing what's necessary: presenting himself as an alternative face of the unit since the officer would never trust Todd again after what she said. Todd is outraged and chews Morgan out, and spends most of the episode resenting him, until she eventually swallows her pride and says he was right to step in... whereupon Morgan insists that no, he was wrong, he shouldn't have stepped on her job like that. The episode clearly sides with Todd, even though her incompetence almost ruined the BAU's relationship with a police department and Morgan's actions were basic professional social dynamics that she should be well aware of considering her job.
  • Strawman Has a Point: Rothschild is not entirely wrong about Rossi not caring about the collateral damage his true crime books cause.
