• Jerkass Woobie: Cassandra, whose grief from the hardships she's endured in life manifests itself as a mouse-like monster that butchers everyone she interacts with. Though she acts like an entitled freeloader during Lorna's 20-minute countdown, she still tries to make her final moments as comfortable as possible, and is heartbroken when Lorna dedicates herself to her and others' safety instead of getting to know her.
• The Woobie:
  • Okwe the pizza guy, whose conversation with Lorna endears the viewers to his gentle and sweet personality, ends up being brutally mauled to death by Cassandra's monster.
  • Cassandra's monster itself is shown to be "really, really tired" at having to kill people under Cassandra's "rules" for it, and it's actually pretty gentle when it's not killing, sharing a meal and conversation with Lorna after her countdown is over.
  • The unnamed kid from Lorna's high school days, who was chubby, sweaty, smelled like cats, and loathed by everyone in school. Lorna considers just walking past him when he was sitting in the hall crying his eyes out her biggest failure.
