- Fridge Horror: One of the endings has the fetus allow itself to die in order to spare its brother. Of course, by the time you're allowed to make that choice, it's implied that you've already consumed a good chunk of your brother's internal organs, so it's quite likely that he doesn't have too long left to live either way, and even if he does survive, he's probably going to be left disabled for the rest of his life.
- Genius Bonus: "Covetous" means "having or showing a great desire to possess something belonging to someone else." The parasite has a great desire to possess the life his brother has.
- Nausea Fuel: The execution could arguably be nastier, but the concept is still pretty disgusting.
- Nightmare Fuel: The game is this in and of itself. Just imagine having a fetus inside of you that is slowly growing and tearing you apart as it does so. The nightmarishness gets really cranked up in the final three levels, which suddenly introduce worse and worse Sensory Abuse. Hearing the music turn into a high-pitched tone that sounds like a flatline can be quite startling, and so is the background becoming Epileptic Flashing Lights in the next level, but then the final stage has both of these things turned up to eleven.
