YMMV / CoroCoro Comic

  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?:
    • Even though CoroCoro Comic is a kid-friendly magazine, it has a spinoff publication called CoroCoro Aniki aimed at adults and teenagers who grew up reading its younger counterpart. Because it still has the CoroCoro name and popular kids' characters on the cover, to the point that some of its manga are explicit sequels to ones that ran in Comic, it was often placed in the children's section in Japanese bookstores anyway, until they had to include a disclaimer with each issue reminding bookstore workers to not place it in the children's section.
    • Some manga serialize exclusively on Weekly CoroCoro Comic (which houses on the CoroCoro Online site) are aimed at adult and teenagers as Aniki does, since the site is not subject to the same publication limitations that Monthly have.
