YMMV / Coop & Cami Ask the World

Go To

  • Accidental Innuendo: In the Title Theme Tune, while Coop and Cami's mother, Jenna, is dancing, Cami holds her in her camera hand and asks "Would you rather do this?"
  • Conflict Ball: Early in the first season, Coop stated he was not embarrassed about anything about himself. Suddenly, in second season's "...Be Caught in the Middle?", he gets mad at Cami for telling Peyton, his girlfriend, about his fear of clowns. Things get even worse when he decides to come out of Peyton's brother's birthday cake dressed as a clown, something her brother is also afraid of and Cami can't figure out how to tell Coop or warn Peyton.
  • Creator's Pet: Ollie has become around season 2. Despite getting absolutely no Character Development, despite it being much-needed, he is always shown with a new skill that manages to resolve the plotline. The other characters frequently ignore his erratic behavior despite it being disturbing even for a kid his age.
  • Designated Hero: The entire Wrather family can be very unlikable
    • Despite being billed as a lead character, Cami has proven herself to be very self-centered that often times borders Lack of Empathy. She also abused her assistant nonstop and was shocked when she wanted revenge.
    • Charlotte is a fussy perfectionist which is justified sometimes with her family, but not always. Plus, she tends to force her interests upon others.
    • Jenna is incredibly selfish and goes along with her kids misbehavior as long as she benefits.
    • Ollie constantly engages in destructive Troubling Unchildlike Behavior and is never called out on it.
    • Coop is the lowest offender but even he is willing to go along with his sibling's schemes even when they are flat out wrong.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Fred in "Would You Rather Have a World Record?" While Neve breaking up with him was entirely his fault, it was sad to see Fred lose the only character who was consistently nice to him.
  • Narm: Charlotte's a cappella group is called "Glamtronics". While it's clearly intended as a reference to Pentatonix, it sounds more like the writers were just trying to go for something they thought sounded cool and ended up with the name of a kids EDM band.
  • They Copied It, So It Sucks!: It’s not considered as much of a rip-off of iCarly as Bizaardvark is, but it’s still a Kid Com about two kids who make content on the Internet.
  • The Woobie: Principal Walker qualifies due to the students hating him, despite him being your average principal; plus he's fair.
