- One-Scene Wonder: Laura's presence is not relevant to the plot, but she is memorable only because she has an animated dance cut scene that lasts for four minutes. She also appears on the game's cover despite only appearing in that one scene.
- What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Despite the colorful graphics and Cookie's adorable appearance, the game features violence in the first 5 minutes of gameplay, and Cookie's deaths can actually be unsettling. There are also references to sex, such as moaning coming from Cookie's radio. There are also random events where a runner participating in the Bombo Games becomes a slave, while Cookie can run into a couple having sex out in the open. Keisuke Harigai has stated in an interview that the game was not intended for children.
