• Fridge Brilliance: Everyone got a heartwarming compliment from Pierce at the end, except Jeff and Abed who just got insults. It's actually Heartwarming in Hindsight. Pierce had always made offensive jokes at Jeff's expense because he felt that indicated just how close he and Jeff were (at least in Pierce's mind). And Pierce's message to Abed is actually weirdly sweet because it shows how Pierce, for all his insensitive, bigoted remarks, made a genuine attempt to befriend someone whom he did not understand.
• Fridge Horror: When it's mentioned that Annie dosed her friends with a pharmaceutical amphetamine. The implication being she drugged a heavily pregnant Shirley and was arguably thereby responsible for the baby being born prematurely.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: This episode is the lead-up to Donald Glover's departure. The cast reunited in May 2020 for a table read benefit special for the COVID-19 pandemic, including Glover who makes his presence felt in the Community, well, community since his departure.
