YMMV / Community S2 E23: A Fistful of Paintballs

• Anticlimax Boss: The Black Rider takes out dozens of students and the study group barely survives two encounters with him... but in the end, Pierce takes him out in one shot after faking a heart attack.
• Badass Decay: Chang was a formidable opponent in last year's game. Apparently an expert, he owned high-tech paintball equipment and nearly beat Jeff and Britta. You'd expect that he'd be just as dangerous this time around. Instead, he just runs around screaming, betraying people at random.
  • Although he does somehow possess a remarkable sense of direction even while blindfolded and runs around with his hands tied behind his back without ever falling or bumping into walls.
    • Consider that in the last game, he was able to use his own equipment, along with the...ehm...game-ender...as well as having really nothing to lose, as well as only having 2 people to eliminate. This time around, $100,000 is at stake and he has none of the awesome weapons he did before, coupled with being against the ENTIRE SCHOOL...take into account how Humiliation Conga has applied to him over the season and you get a nervous, shifty, paranoid, anxious little backstabber.
    • Also, in Season one he had a job and could afford paintball games 3 days a week. By the events of this episode, he's spent two semesters camping out on a friend's couch or in the college's vents.
• Fridge Brilliance: When the gang meets at Fort Hawthorne to hear Pierce's proposition, everyone is sitting in their normal places—except Pierce is in Jeff's seat and Jeff is in Pierce's.
