• Heartwarming in Hindsight: Britta being the owner of an iPod Nano in 2014 becomes this when you find out how she gets it: Pierce bequeaths it to her in his will after he dies, as he felt that Britta hated herself too much, and wanted her to listen to music to help herself let go a little bit.
• The Scrappy: Each member of the group of high school students who mock Jeff and Britta is too obnoxious to be funny, and each is a borderline Karma Houdini, which led to audiences ultimately finding them the worst characters of the season.
