• Awesome Music: The use of "Don't Fear the Reaper" in the trailer.
• Funny Moments:
  • The Overly Long Gag that occours when a grieving Nels and his wife come identify thier son's body and the sadness is untercut by the Black Comedy of the morgue attendant pumping the gurney's height adjustment pedal to make it rise up closer to them. Nels and the other men present exchange awkward looks as the squeaking gurney slooowly rises the pale body up.
  • As Nels and The Eskimo are driving into Kehoe by taxi, the taxi driver is blaring "Stand By Your Man". The Eskimo demands he turn it over to "anything else". There's a moment's silence, then—
    I'm a Barbie girl, in a Barbie wooooorld--
  • The Native American criminals cruelly deciding to play the Everything Is Racist card with the clerk who asked for their "reservation" to force her to get rooms for them in the fully booked hotel and free ski passes. The acting of the distressed lady and the criminal's dead serious delivery of "Do you have any idea what I can do to you... on Yelp?" is perfect.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: It was during promotion of this film that Liam Neeson revealed his very brief period of murderous rage after a black man raped his sister, which naturally overshadowed all discussion of the film.
