- Alternative Character Interpretation:
- Did Hawk join the Miyagi-do/Eagle Fang alliance at the end of Season 3 because he truly had a change of heart or did he simply feel he had nothing to lose because Robby was quickly replacing him as Cobra Kai's alpha?
- Did Kreese actually order the attack on Daniel's home, like Daniel accuses, or was it all Tory?note
- Was Kreese actually attempting to murder Johnny as he choked him unconscious, or was he defending himself from a much younger assailant? Johnny started the physical fight and was the first to pick up a stabbing weapon. We know Kreese was playing constant mind games, but Johnny was not in any physical danger at all. Kreese is into his elderly years and is justified fighting back with any means necessary.
- Awesome Music: Journey's "Open Arms" when Johnny says goodbye to Ali, as well as The Protomen's cover of "In The Air Tonight" at the end of the episode.
- Moral Event Horizon:
- Tory leading her fellow Cobra Kai mooks on a home invasion on the LaRusso household, several days before Christmas, and by extension, Kreese for manipulating Tory into leading them.
- Kreese has two possible moments. He may have already crossed this after killing Captain Turner just as his platoon was about to be rescued by American Forces. However, this possibly could be excused to due to Turner being an Asshole Victim and the intense grief and rage he was going through at the time. What can't be excused is his attempts to outright murder Johnny and Daniel for daring to defy him, which goes far beyond his immoral but not outright illegal previous actions.
