YMMV / Clash Of Lords 2

Go To

  • Complacent Gaming Syndrome:
    • Oh god yes. Try looking through the top players in Lord's League. Chances are you'll find some combination of Stormbringer, Abyss Demon, Arcane Caster, Ambrosia, Toxic Shaman, Landslide, Pan Goli, Imp Mistress, Renee Ven, Wolvenfiend, Penthesikea and especially Great Sage as their team.
    • This also applies to Aid Skills too. Chances are, there will be Pan Goli or The Berserker in each hero's slot or even a combination of the two because of how useful their Aid Skills are.note
  • Game-Breaker: Great Sage, simply because of how utterly overpowered his Skillset is. His Active Skill has the bonus effect of stunning opponents for an obscenely long time to the point that by the time it wears off, most (if not all) of your Heroes will be dead already. His Divine Skill is even worse which grants him invincibility before locking all Divine and Active Skills for almost as long. Worst of all, these effects stack with each other, effectively stun locking all of your Heroes out of counterattacking unless you were quick enough to make the first move. Finally, should you be lucky enough to kill him, his Fortitude Skill will revive him up to 4 times before he finally goes down for good. Needless to say, there is a good reason many players have him as part of their gang.
  • Scrappy Mechanic:
    • The Battle Square isn't in itself one of these, but the time limits placed on when players can fight each other are largely felt to be this. This became even worse when the times were changed... to make it a 12 hour wait between noon and midnight.
    • In the first version of Guild Base, the refresh rates for the store were a whopping 50,000 Guild Coins.note  This in itself wasn't a problem... except the store had an automatic refresh time that couldn't be disabled, meaning once a guild finally managed to scrape up 50,000, it would automatically be used once that refresh time came. Thankfully, this was changed so that the prices were lower (25,000, and later 12,500), and the refresh rate could be turned off.
    • Also in Guild Base, the rubble clearing has it's own problems. Many times, the requirements for clearing the rubble are vast quantities of heroes with minions at max level or Divine Skill at max. Even after the requirements were nerfed, bases still saw themselves frequently littered with rubble that members couldn't clear thanks to the requirements being too high.
