• Epileptic Trees: The First-Episode Spoiler has caused many theories on what's the deal with the kids. Are they humans posing as mutants? Are they mutants with still-dormant powers? A Newsarama article posits they may be mutants who didn’t regain their powers after M-Day (although those mutants still appear that they can use the gates). A common theory with just the cover and roster was that they're Sinister's first batch of Chimeras, but those should still register as mutants. As it turns out, they are simply regular humans using alien technology to pretend to be mutants. However, one of them, Carmen, does turn out to be a mutant and is asked by Storm to come to Krakoa.
