  • Audience-Alienating Era: KERWIN WHITE. No, seriously, this cannot be emphasized enough. They took a guy from one of the most respected wrestling families in the world…and turned him into a preppy golf douche. It's still to this day held up as one of the worst gimmicks WWE has ever forced on anyone. At least his caddy would eventually become Dolph Ziggler. Either hilarious or harsher in hindsight depending on your view, considering he later got used as a lapdog in aunt Vickie's stable which at one point held up Dolph as the cougar's centerpiece.
  • Heartwarming Moments: After the Atlanta tragedy, Chris Benoit's other son David was completely ostracised by the wrestling industry that he'd previously been part of as the WWE attempted to Un-person his father. The only two people who stayed in touch with and supported him were Chavo and Chris Jericho.
  • The Woobie:
    • After losing Eddie and Benoit, since Eddie was his uncle but they often said that they were as close as brothers, and, well, Benoit was one of Eddie's best friends.
    • It gets worse; Chavo was the one who discovered Eddie had died and, by his own admission, died in his arms, and was reportedly one of the last people Chris Benoit talked to before Atlanta. Considering how private Benoit reportedly was, he and Chavo must have been really close.
      • And it gets even worse still. Chris spoke to Chavo after murdering Nancy, but before killing Daniel, and when talking to Chavo, Chris did almost nothing but lie to him. He told Chavo that Daniel and Nancy were both sick with food poisoning and he would be late for the house show he was booked at, and Chavo could tell something was wrong; he called him back and said "All right man, if you need to talk, I'm here for you." Out of everything Chris told Chavo in their succession of voicemails and calls, possibly the only true thing he said was when he signed off with "I love you, Chavo." One can only imagine how horrible Chavo would have felt when he found out what happened.
    • You just have to feel sorry for Chavo with how appallingly WWE treated him while he attempted to tough it out. They seemed to be committed to turning him into the biggest joke they possibly could, all because... actually, we have no idea what Chavo could have possibly done to deserve such shabby treatment. You have to believe that either WWE's writers are simply morons, or there were nastier reasons why one of the biggest Mexican stars left on the roster was humiliated like that...
