- Fan Fic Fuel: The noir concept inspired a lot of music videos and fan fictions expanding on the world of Crossed, Double Crossed.
- Fridge Brilliance: Brody is able to lie there wounded while Paige is able to talk Eddie into finishing the story. Phoebe obviously wrote that the bullet wound was not that deep to give them more time.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Brody gets shot in front of Paige by Johnny. It's not dissimilar from how he ends up Killed Off for Real by Beta several episodes afterwards.

- After Charmed ended, Rose McGowan would later star in an actual film noir - The Black Dahlia. What's more is that this was advertised as "Charmed Confidential", as a Shout-Out to L.A. Confidential. Both LA Confidential and The Black Dahlia are adapted from novels by James Ellroy.
- Phoebe makes a joke that she's trying her hand at being a novelist when she tries to help Paige and Kyle. The series finale reveals that she does become a novelist.
- Phoebe also refers to herself as cupid when she thinks she has to console Ms Donovan. She ends up marrying a cupid in the next season.
- Narm Charm: Paige acting like a vintage Femme Fatale, complete with ham acting, is glorious.
