YMMV / Charmed S2E22 Be Careful What You Witch For

• Fan Fic Fuel: A complicated example. As this episode has footage of Leo attempting to heal Prue when she dies, audio has been used from that scene in fan edits to create an actual death scene for Prue.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Prue dies at a warlock's hands and Phoebe and Piper think it's permanent, even subverting Hope Spot when the wishes are reversed. In the next season finale, Prue is indeed Killed Off for Real - again when she's hurt by a demon and Leo is too late to heal her. And when she's turned back into a teenager, Piper has to take control as the eldest sister, foreshadowing how she'll have to when Prue is killed.
  • Prue is killed when a demon seduces her by posing as a human bad boy. It's quite prophetic of Cole's infiltration of Phoebe the next season - although of course the reasons are more complicated.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • In the next two seasons, when they have to show a Charmed One as a teenager, she's shown with braces just like Prue; Piper in a photo in "Coyote Piper", and Paige in "A Paige From the Past". Phoebe is spared this when we meet her teenage self in "Hyde School Reunion", but she does have bangs like Prue (and indeed Paige).
  • Phoebe gets levitation as an active power the very next episode. As this is between seasons, it's unknown if this was Foreshadowing or not.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: The makeup used to have Shannen Doherty appear ten years younger is very convincing. They make her look near identical to how she did in Beverly Hills, 90210, which was a decade before this!
